Central Florida is a favorite destination for visitors due to the theme parks, NASCAR races, natural springs, golf courses, and the NASA facilities that put a man on the moon. Central Florida is also home to many natural springs. Many have been incorporated into state parks. The springs are great during the summer months because the water stays at a constant 72 degrees and the water is perfect for cooling off. Many visitors also go to the springs to spot manatees and alligators and to go boating.

West Central Florida includes Tampa and St Petersburg, beautiful cities with beaches to match. Tampa boasts a Busch Gardens theme park, but the real attraction here is the Gulf of Mexico, whose calm green waters and white sandy beaches are suitable for sunning year-round. It includes Citrus, Hernando, Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk and Sumter counties. Major cities include: Clearwater, Lakeland, Port Richey, New Port Richey, Saint Petersburg, St. Pete Beach, Tampa, Tarpon Springs, Wildwood and Winter Haven.
