Live Oaks – They’re everywhere on Amelia. But none as grand as the one growing in the middle of Ash Street on Amelia island. The one that peacefully had stood watch over Kate Bailey’s stately Queen Anne home for years. She adored that oak. And the day city workers came to axe it down, they discovered just how much. Word has it, the tree was a minor obstacle compared to the lady on her veranda with a shotgun.
